Thanks to all of you who wrote

I must say I was a bit surprised. The main reason I had not updated Shin Kage for a while was that I was doubting anyone was reading it. I had come to a stopping point, and it seemed that there was little reason to spend time getting the rest of it web ready.

Surprise! This week I received 6 emails within a few days asking me if there was more. Actually, yes there is.

We take the story up many years later, Shin is on his way to visit his Sensei and Hana who now live in the main terran city. He is a warrior in his own right, well trained and very competent and living off the warrior stipend the terran states use to keep a force of warriors "on call" should the Kroans to the south get greedy again. We find him suffering a minor setback to his walkabout...

Author's note: This chapter of the story is actually older than many of the people who will be reading it. I started it in 1983 and finished it in 1984. You'll notice lacking anatomy and inablility to use a T-square, but boy howdy, was the testosterone energy runnin' high! The story is very loosely based on a chapter of Eiji Yodhikawa's book Musashi, now being serialized by Viz Comics as Vagabond.
